One of history's most memorable women

In a vivid overview of a Joan of Arc’s life, young readers can invest themselves in the story of one of history’s most interesting and memorable women. Colorful and bold, Victory Voices: The Inspiration Behind Joan of Arc sets a bright start on those interested in diving into history. This tale focuses more on Joan’s beginning than most do, setting the stage and encouraging readers to look even deeper to find more of her story.

With vivid, stylized art and an honest recounting of Joan’s life and fate, Victory Voices prepares any young student excited to learn. Be it about general history, women’s history, or military history, we could use more books that take such a direct approach to their content. The Inspiration Behind Joan of Arc is a wonderful start to history.

Young readers interested in finding for a good book to start their learning journey need search no further. Victory Voices: The Inspiration Behind Joan of Arc sets the stage for how fascinating, inspiring, and tragic the past can be. While it focuses on Joan’s childhood and first experiences more than her military campaign, it does not brush over her victories or fate by any means. The art is bright and vivid, with a style reminiscent of the angel-hearing heroine it features. Victory Voices is a fantastic diving board for any child or teenager looking to delve deeper into the true stories of historical heroes. Or anyone curious about Joan of Arc herself!
